Engineered Intelligence for Space: Charles River Analytics Presents at AMOS

Meet staff from Charles River Analytics, developer of intelligent systems solutions, at the Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies Conference (AMOS).

Space has become a congested operational domain, with both military and commercial assets being launched from an ever-growing number of countries. In this increasingly contested domain, accurate and timely space situational awareness is critical for both US intelligence agencies and commercial satellite operators to protect their assets from collisions with other satellites and space debris.

With this in mind, we are proud to attend AMOS 2021, where we’ll showcase our latest capability offerings. As the world’s premier technical conference devoted to space surveillance, AMOS fuels ongoing dialogue among military, contractor, commercial, and academic participants.

Daniel Stouch, Principal Scientist and Director of Space and Airborne Systems at Charles River, will present a paper and poster, Toward Intuitive Understanding of Complex Astrodynamics Using Distributed Augmented Reality.

Stop by to talk to us at our office hours at AMOS:

  • Wednesday September 15, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM HST
  • Thursday September 16, 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM HST

At AMOS, learn about our most recent efforts in support of DARPA’s Hallmark program. Hallmark seeks to help operators quickly develop SSA in the complex space domain. During military operations, operators must quickly combine information from disparate data sources to accurately track assets in space, understand events, and develop courses of action to mitigate threats. Our capability offerings include:

  • SOLAR, our Space Battle Management Command and Control mixed reality application suite that allows operators to quickly make sense of outputs from novel AI, machine learning, and other advanced analytic tools developed by both Charles River Analytics and third-party companies.
  • PICASSA, our COA analysis optimization software that improves threat detection in space using advanced probabilistic reasoning. When viewed within SOLAR’s interactive visualizations, space operators can easily understand and incorporate outputs from PICASSA’s reference models and decision algorithms into their SSA and course-of-action workflow.
