Charles River Analytics Inc., developer of intelligent systems solutions, celebrated being named one of Boston Business Journal’s 2017 Best Places to Work at an awards ceremony at Boston Symphony Hall on June 22, 2017. Companies earn this distinction based on their benefits and by earning top scores on employee-satisfaction surveys. Seventy-five staff members and their guests joined the nine hundred attendees at Symphony Hall to hear the award winners and rankings in five categories, based on company size. Charles River Analytics placed in the Top Ten, being named #8 in the Mid-Size category.
“I am so proud of our team for this recognition,” said Karen Harper, President of Charles River Analytics. “This was driven by our employee owner base, and it reflects the tremendous efforts our staff puts in each day to make Charles River a stimulating, proactive, and enjoyable place to be.”
“It’s the first time we’ve been nominated, so placing in the top ten was very exciting,” added Jess DeCristoforo, Human Resources Manager. “We were thrilled that so many of our staff and their guests attended the event to celebrate this accomplishment, and we are honored to be a platinum sponsor of the ceremony.”

During the award ceremony, David Koelle, Principal Software Engineer and this year’s chair of Charles River’s employee ownership committee, noted, “Charles River Analytics is a 100% employee-owned company, and one thing that means is that it’s up to us, the employees, to maintain our amazing culture. A culture that attracts and retains colleagues who are smart, who are creative, and who support each other. Our leadership is fond of saying that the value of our company leaves our doors every evening, and returns to the office every morning. This is a company that has always cared about its people, and we have demonstrated that consistently through our excellent benefits, our commitment to employee growth, and our enjoyable work environment. On behalf of all of our 157 employee-owners, we truly appreciate and value our recognition as one of Boston’s Best Places to Work, and we are proud to sponsor this event.”
