Subrata Das, Chief Scientist at Charles River Analytics, was invited by the Office of Naval Research to present at their Level 2/3 Fusion Workshop that took place from November 16-18, 2005, in Arlington, VA. Dr. Das delivered a talk on “Hybrid Inferencing for Data Fusion.”
About Dr. Subrata K. Das, Chief Scientist: Dr. Das leads research projects in the areas of intelligent agents, high-level information fusion, decision-making under uncertainty, planning and scheduling, and machine learning. His technical expertise includes mathematical logics, probabilistic reasoning including Bayesian belief networks, symbolic argumentation, and a broad range of computational artificial intelligence techniques. Dr. Das held research positions at Imperial College and Queen Mary and Westfield College, both part of the University of London. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland and M.Tech. from Indian Statistical Institute. Dr. Das has published many journal and conference articles. He is the author of the book entitled “Deductive Databases and Logic Programming” published by Addison-Wesley, and co-authored the book entitled “Safe and Sound: Artificial Intelligence in Hazardous Applications” published by the MIT Press.
