Dr. Subrata Das, Chief Scientist at Charles River Analytics, will serve as guest expert at Multi-Sensor Data Fusion seminars that will take place in October and November, 2007. The seminars focus on the latest advancements in multi-sensor data fusion, including both higher and lower-level fusion solutions.

About Dr. Subrata K. Das, Chief Scientist of Government Services: Dr. Das leads research projects in the areas of high-level and distributed information fusion, decision-making under uncertainty, intelligent agents, planning and scheduling, and machine learning. His technical expertise includes mathematical logics, probabilistic reasoning including Bayesian belief networks, symbolic argumentation, particle filtering, and a broad range of computational artificial intelligence techniques. Dr. Das held research positions at Imperial College and Queen Mary and Westfield College (University of London). He received his PhD in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in Scotland and M.Tech. from Indian Statistical Institute. He is the author of the book, “Deductive Databases and Logic Programming” (Addison-Wesley), “Foundations of Decision Making Agents: Logic, Modality, and Probability” (to be published by World Scientific/Imperial College Press), and co-author of “Safe and Sound: Artificial Intelligence in Hazardous Applications” (MIT Press). Dr. Das is on the editorial board of the journal Information Fusion (Elsevier Science). Dr. Das has been a technical committee member and a tutorial lecturer at the International Conferences on Information Fusion and is currently editing a special issue on agent-based information fusion.
