Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, has been selected to receive an honorable mention award for good visual design for its submission to the 2012 Visual Analytics Science and Technology (VAST). This year’s challenge asked participants to address two general problems using a visual analytics approach. The first challenge focused on a situation awareness visualization of a large enterprise and the second challenge focused on computer security. The VAST Challenge is part of VisWeek 2012, the premier forum bringing together practitioners and experts in scientific and information visualization. VisWeek will take place in Seattle, WA, from October 14-19, 2012.
Mr. Michael Farry, Senior Scientist at Charles River, said, “Under efforts such as this and our BIVOUAC program, our team has been working hard to develop visualizations for Big Data and provide analysts with insight that no other tools provide. I’m really proud of our team’s effort and our recognition by the VAST Challenge sponsors.”
Mr. Arthur Wollocko, Software Engineer at Charles River, will attend the VAST Challenge this October to accept the award.
