Office for Naval Research Features MOVER Technology Developed by Charles River Analytics
Charles River Analytics is developing technology for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to improve therapy for patients with traumatic brain injuries. Mobile, Virtual Enhancements for Rehabilitation, or MOVER, aims to provide an easy, safe, and engaging way for patients to follow therapy on a laptop or PC with a Microsoft Kinect camera. MOVER is a system to enhance outpatient rehabilitation with engaging video games and virtual coaches.
ONR interviewed Dr. James Niehaus, Senior Scientist at Charles River and Principal Investigator on MOVER, on current development and future plans. Read ONR’s press release on MOVER.
MOVER is one of Charles River’s efforts in recent years to improve medical support and training for Warfighters and Veterans. Last month, several of our scientists and software engineers presented recent R&D at the 2015 Military Health Research Symposium (MHSRS). Read more about our presentations at MHSRS.
