The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) recently featured a targeting system from Charles River Analytics Inc., a developer of cutting-edge technologies for intelligent systems, as a transition success story. Preemptive Actions with Dynamic Anticipatory Targeting (PREDATAR) addresses the Air Force’s requirement to improve the dynamic targeting process of emerging targets.
PREDATAR supports enhanced Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE) by cueing analysts to emerging targets and potential time-sensitive targets (TSTs), their relationships, and reasons to support the claim. Analysts can then use this data to decide what to target, which results in increased situation awareness and improved tactical planning.
PREDATAR was demonstrated at Empire Challenge 2010 as an extension to the Global Command and Control System – Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (GCCS-13) for the air operations center (AOC).
This material is based upon work supported by the Air Force Research Lab – Fusion Technology Branch (AFRL/RIEA) and the Development Planning Directorate Office (ESC/XR).
