Charles River Analytics, a developer of cutting-edge technologies for intelligent systems, sponsored the New England Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’s (NECHFES) 5th Annual Student Research Conference, which was held at Northeastern University on November 14, 2008. Nineteen students from area universities, including MIT, Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and the University of New Hampshire, presented their research in Human Factors and Applied Psychology in a setting that promotes collaboration between professionals, faculty, and students.
Charles River’s Dr. Jonathan Pfautz, Sean Guarino, and Michael Farry, attended the conference where Dr. Pfautz delivered a presentation on Charles River and its projects. Dr. Pfautz serves on the board of directors for NECHFES and Charles River’s Dr. Ryan Kilgore serves as the Secretary.
Dr. Pfautz said, “We’re delighted to be supporting our local Human Factors community. I’ve been consistently impressed with the quality of research that the students in our region are producing.”
Charles River Analytics co-sponsored the event along with Aptima, Inc., and representatives from both companies presented awards to students. Charles River is a multi-year sponsor of this annual NECHFES student conference.
