Charles River Analytics sponsored the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society New England Chapter’s student conference, which took place on November 4, 2005, at Tufts University in Medford, MA. The aim of the conference is to bring together professionals and students in human factors and ergonomics in the New England area, with a particular focus on providing an opportunity for local students to demonstrate and discuss their work.
The Keynote Speaker for the event was Barry H. Beith, PhD. Dr. Beith’s discussion was on “Human Factors and Ergonomics in a Design-Driven World: We Have Met the Enemy and They is Us.”
Charles River Analytics was delighted to present an award for the Best Student Presentation to Ryan Schoonmaker, of Tufts University, who presented his work entitled “Vibrotactile Force Information in Minimally Invasive Surgery.”
