Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, is sponsoring the 15th Annual Human Factors Engineering Inter-University Workshop (IUW). The one-day student-organized workshop dedicated to human factors engineering is being hosted by the University of Buffalo on November 15, 2014.
“We are proud to again be a key sponsor of this student organized and attended research event focusing on Human Factors and Ergonomics, a field Charles River has long been committed to expanding and improving,” said Dr. Michael Jenkins, a scientist in Charles River’s Cognitive Systems division.
“The Inter-University Workshop is a student run research symposium that is in its 15th year,” Dr. Jenkins continued. “The workshop provides an opportunity for students to come together and share their latest research in Human Factors and Ergonomics, but more importantly also enables students to start developing the critical relationships within academia and industry that will allow them to succeed not only in their careers, but also in advancing the state of human factors over the next generation.”
Events at the workshop include student presentations, keynote speeches, a poster competition, and a social/networking dinner. Keynote speakers at this year’s event are Dr. Jack Dennerlein, Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Northeastern University, and Dr. John Flach, Professor of Psychology at Wright State University.
