Charles River Analytics, a developer of cutting-edge technologies for intelligent systems, sponsored the New England Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’s (NECHFES) 6th Annual Student Research Conference, which was held at MIT on November 13, 2009. NECHFES promotes collaboration between professionals, faculty, and students in the field of Human Factors and Applied Psychology. Sixteen students from area universities including MIT, Northeastern University, Tufts University, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and the University of New Hampshire, were given the opportunity to present their research projects.
Charles River’s Dr. Jonathan Pfautz, Mr. Alex Godwin, Mr. Michael Farry, and Mr. John Houston attended the conference where Mr. Farry delivered a presentation on Charles River and its projects. Dr. Pfautz serves on NECHFES’s board of directors and Charles River’s Dr. Ryan Kilgore serves as the Secretary.
Dr. Pfautz said, “We are pleased to support the students in our local Human Factors community by sponsoring this event. The students impress us every year with the quality of their research.”
Charles River has sponsored the NECHFES student conference in recent years as part of its ongoing commitment to the human factors field and the professional development of human factors and ergonomics practitioners. They co-sponsored the conference with Aptima, Inc., and representatives from both companies presented awards to students.
