Dr. Greg Zacharias, President of Charles River Analytics, was invited to present the Jerome H. Ely Human Factors Article Award at the 56th Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) in Boston. This year’s meeting took place at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, in Boston, MA, from October 22-26, 2012. Serving as Chair of the Ely Award Committee, Dr. Zacharias presented the award to Prof. Rob Gray, from the University of Birmingham, for his paper, “Looming Auditory Collision Warnings for Driving,” which was published in February 2011 (Volume 53, Number 1). The award is presented for the best paper published in the HFES Bulletin the previous year.
