Charles River Analytics Inc., developer of intelligent systems solutions, will present MINOTAUR, an intuitive soldier-machine interface for controlling robotic leader-follower systems, at the 8th International Conference on Applied Human Factors and Ergonomics (2017 AHFE International). This year’s conference will take place from July 17-21, 2017, in Los Angeles, CA.
“We’re excited for the chance to talk about our cutting edge work developing multimodal human-robot interfaces in our MINOTAUR system,” said Stephanie Kane, Senior Scientist at Charles River. “These interfaces are flexible to enable dismounted squad members naturally interact with robots and robust to work within the challenging operational environments.”
MINOTAUR fuses multiple proven leader-tracking and robot control technologies to provide a reliable, hands-free interface for Warfighters operating in challenging environments. The system integrates multiple complementary leader-follower technologies to allow operation in inclement weather, poor lighting, and non-line-of-sight scenarios.
