R&D firm achieved perfect score, meeting or exceeding rigorous national security information protection requirements
Cambridge, MA — Charles River Analytics, a leading provider of human-centered AI research, development, and implementation, today announced it has earned Level 2 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) after successfully completing an extensive audit conducted by an accredited C3PAO (CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization).
Charles River achieved a perfect score, demonstrating its strong commitment to national security by ensuring that the firm’s cybersecurity policies, procedures, and network controls met or exceeded the certification requirements finalized by the Department of Defense (DoD) in September 2025. The assessment verified that all 110 security practices from NIST SP 800‑171 were fully implemented.
While the company has operated under the applicable standards for many years, earning CMMC Level 2 confirms that Charles River meets the new mandatory cybersecurity requirements for all DoD contractors handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This certification affirms that the company’s cybersecurity program meets the highest possible standard for protecting CUI and consistently performs as required in real operational environments.
