Charles River Analytics Co-Sponsors 30th Anniversary Celebration of Cognitive Systems Engineering

Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, co-sponsored a celebratory dinner to honor the 30th anniversary of Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE). The dinner was held at Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant in Boston, MA, on October 24, 2012, following three Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) panel sessions highlighting the last 30 years of CSE.

Dr. Jonathan Pfautz, Vice President, Cognitive Systems, sat on a panel discussing Origins and Destinations: 30 Years of Cognitive Systems Engineering. The three panels and panelists are listed below:

The Origins of Cognitive Systems Engineering: Looking Back after 30 Years
Chair: Robert Hoffman, Institute for Human and Machine Cognition
Panelists: Richard Pew, Raytheon BBN Technologies; Thomas Sheridan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Philip Smith, Ohio State University; Emilie Roth, Roth Cognitive Engineering; and David Woods, Ohio State University.

Origins and Destinations: 30 Years of Cognitive Systems Engineering
Chair: Amy R. Pritchett, Georgia Institute of Technology
Panelists: Christopher Nemeth, Applied Research Assoc.; Karen Feigh, Georgia Institute of Technology; Michael Feary, NASA Ames Research Center.; Jonathan Pfautz, Charles River Analytics Inc.; and Shawn Weil, Aptima, Inc.
