Charles River Analytics, a developer of intelligent systems solutions, announces a contract to design and demonstrate Advanced Mission Display and Planning Tools, or AMPT, for the US Navy. The Navy is seeking new tools for the management of unmanned vehicle teams in complex and changing environments. AMPT addresses this need by improving the efficiency of monitoring unmanned vehicles and responding to emerging mission requirements. The eighteen-month contract is valued close to $500,000.
Dr. Ryan Kilgore, the Principal Investigator on the project at Charles River, explained, “Under AMPT, we are developing novel mission displays to improve the supervisory control of unmanned vehicles. These tools will help unmanned system operators by using more intuitive visual cues to increase the observability and directability of automated planning systems.”
