Charles River Analytics Provides Joint Air/Ground, Unified, Adaptive Replanning (JAGUAR) Support for Air Operation Center

Charles River Analytics is beginning a subcontracting effort with the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory to provide support in the Joint Air/Ground Operations: Unified, Adaptive Replanning (JAGUAR) for AOCs program. JAGUAR is a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) program focused on developing technologies for the Air Operations Center (AOC) while reducing the manpower requirements.

JAGUAR aims to manage and simplify the increasing complexity in the planning and execution of air operations. For its part in the JAGUAR project, Charles River Analytics is designing intelligent, configurable human-system interfaces that monitor multi-vehicle adaptive planning systems. These interfaces enable mixed-initiative interaction between operators and intelligent automation through the application of effective human factors-based design principles and computational intelligence algorithms, including fuzzy logic and Bayesian reasoning.

With their experience in mixed-initiative control and integrating planning and execution capabilities for air-to-ground operations, Charles River Analytics and Draper Laboratory are ideally partnered to develop JAGUAR. They have a proven record with their collaborations in recent years, including DARPA’s Mixed Initiative Control of Automata-teams (MICA) and ONR’s Intelligent Autonomy (IA) programs.
