Zach Cox, Charles River Analytics’ software engineer and chief developer of BNet.Builder™ and BNet.EngineKit™, was interviewed by ADT (Application Development Trends) Magazine in November of 2004. In this interview, Zach discussed Bayesian Networks and Charles River Analytics’ BNet® software.
Belief Networks are powerful modeling tools for condensing what is known about causes and effects into a compact network of probabilities. Charles River Analytics currently has two products for working with belief networks, BNet.Builder and BNet.EngineKit.
BNet.Builder is a desktop application for rapidly creating Belief Networks, entering information, and getting results. BNet.Builder allows users to create models quickly and easily.
BNet.EngineKit is a developer toolkit for researchers and engineers to use to embed belief networks in software applications. Unique in its focus on clear APIs with the right functionality, BNet.EngineKit offers software developers who aren’t inference algorithm specialists a chance to use Bayesian networks without spending years learning about them.
