A team from Charles River Analytics volunteered at Canoeing for Clean Water, a community effort with the Charles River Watershed Association and the New England Aquarium live blue™ Service Corps. Ten volunteers formed a team to participate in the event, which took place on July 30, 2014. The team canoed the Charles River to assist in a hands-on project to remove the invasive water chestnut from the Charles River, with the goal of helping to restore the ecosystems disrupted by the plant’s growth.
“Getting out and volunteering in the communities where we live, work, and play can help make the world a better place for all of life’s inhabitants,” said David Young, the coordinator of Charles River’s team. “We were grateful for the opportunity to help out and had a great time doing so.”
Charles River’s staff often team up for other events, such as soccer games, races, or obstacle challenges. View some photos on our Facebook page.
